Terms of Use

Messadine Portal helps the people of Messadine and the surrounding area to publish and find real estate listings, buy and sell items, find job offers, read information about the city and message each other. The service is free to use.

We only put people in touch with each other. We are not a party to the sales, rentals, deals or hiring that take place between users.

You may use the service if you have the legal capacity to accept these terms under Tunisian law. The service is not directed at children.

An account is personal and may only be used by one person. Businesses can publish job offers through a company account set up by our team.

When you use an account, you agree to:

• give accurate information and keep it up to date;
• keep your password secret, as you are responsible for what is done with your account;
• not use someone else’s account, and not create an account in another person’s name;
• tell us without delay if you think someone else is using your account.

You can delete your account at any time in Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent, as explained in our privacy policy.

You are responsible for everything you publish or send: posts, photos, videos, contact details and messages. They must be accurate and lawful, and concern real offers.

Only publish photos and information you have the right to use. Do not show other people, their documents or their personal details without their consent.

You keep the rights to your content. By publishing it, you allow us to host it, display it, adapt its format (for example by resizing photos) and show it in previews and search results, for as long as it is online and only to operate and promote the service.

Keep your posts up to date, and delete a post as soon as the item is sold, the property is rented or the job is filled.

You must not publish, send or do any of the following on the service:

• scams and fraud: fake offers, requests for payment or a deposit in advance, phishing links, misleading prices or descriptions;
• illegal or regulated goods or services, such as weapons, drugs, medicines, and stolen or counterfeit goods;
• harassment, threats, intimidation, insults or repeated unwanted contact;
• hate speech, discrimination or incitement to violence, including on the grounds of origin, colour, religion, sex or disability;
• sexual or pornographic content, and any content that sexualises minors;
• violent, shocking or degrading content;
• spam: duplicate posts, mass messages, advertising unrelated to the post, or off-topic content;
• impersonating another person, a business or a public body, or giving false information about yourself;
• publishing other people’s personal information without their consent;
• content that infringes the rights of others, such as copyright or trademarks;
• disrupting or misusing the service: collecting data automatically, getting around security checks or moderation, spreading malicious software, or creating a new account after being excluded.

• Checks: every post is checked automatically when it is published or edited, and content that fails these checks is refused. Our moderation team can also review any post at any time, whether or not it has been reported.
• Reports: use the Report button on a post or in a conversation to tell us about a problem. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes the necessary action.
• Blocking: you can block a user from a conversation. While the block lasts, neither of you can start a conversation with the other or send them messages.
• Our decisions: we may refuse, hide or remove content, limit certain features, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms, depending on how serious the breach is.

The service does not handle any payment, deposit or delivery between users, and offers no escrow or guarantee. Any agreement is made directly between you and the other person, at your own risk. Contacts by phone, WhatsApp or email take place outside the service.

To protect yourself:

• never pay or send a deposit before you have seen the item or the property;
• meet in a public place, and visit a property with someone you trust;
• check the documents (title deed, lease, vehicle papers) before you commit;
• never share your password or the verification codes you receive;
• report any suspicious post or message.

Some job offers are collected automatically from public Tunisian job websites, and others are published by businesses. We are not the employer: check each offer with the employer, and apply on the original website when there is one. Be wary of anyone who asks you for money in exchange for a job.

Information about the city (services, documents, news) is provided for convenience. Check it with the authority concerned before relying on it for an official procedure.

Advertisers are responsible for their advertisements. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

The service, its design, its name and logo, and the content we write belong to us or to their respective owners. Do not copy or reuse them without permission, except where the law allows it.

We work to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or stop all or part of the service, for example for maintenance.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for content published by users, for deals between users, for the content of other websites, or for indirect damage resulting from the use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Tunisian law, or the rights the law gives you.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or close your account and remove your content if you break these terms or the law, if your account is used to harm others, or if the law requires it. In serious cases, we may do so without notice.

These terms are governed by Tunisian law. If you disagree with us, contact us first so that we can try to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent Tunisian courts.

We may update these terms. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page, and we will let you know in the service about significant changes. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
